Ricardo Rezende
I'm an Oracle DBA with over 20 years of experience managing mission-critical databases, currently working as Technology Innovation Senior Principal at Accenture Enkitec Group, one of the world's leading Oracle-focused practices.
Throughout my career I've worked with Oracle Database from version 8i through 23ai, across high-availability OLTP and OLAP environments on Sun Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux, and MS-Windows platforms.
My core areas of expertise include:
- Oracle Database administration in critical production environments
- GoldenGate — data replication and migration
- Database and application performance tuning
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- High availability and disaster recovery
- Technical leadership of DBA teams
I'm a board member of GUOB (Oracle User Group Brazil), where I help connect and strengthen the Brazilian Oracle community.
I've been an author and technical editor at SQL Magazine, and a guest on podcasts such as DatabaseCast and GoldenTalks.
I've also spoken at technical events and universities across Brazil.
This blog, Database & More, is where I share experiences, solutions, and thoughts on the world of databases — published in both Portuguese and English.
I also plan to occasionally write about some personal interests, including Philosophy, the world of two wheels (motorcycles), and music — Rock'n'Roll and Saxophone in particular.
